BRAD Hodge says he is expecting to be playing under "Captain Grumpy" when he lines up alongside new skipper Stuart Law for Lancashire against Surrey in today's County Championship opener.
The Australian batsman arrived in London on Monday night ahead of the start of his fourth season with the Red Rose county.
And having played 15 years of Australian domestic cricket for his home state Victoria, the former Farnworth professional knows Law only too well.
"There's no doubt that he will be Captain Grumpy," said the 32-year-old. "But I guess he has just followed in the footsteps of Allan Border."
