After the Queen's death on Thursday, we have looked back at how Bolton marked her extraordinary 70 years on the throne for her Platinum Jubilee celebrations a few months ago.
Many residents across Bolton hosted street parties, complete with traditional flags, plenty of tea and scones, and memorabilia of Queen Elizabeth II from Thursday, June 2 to Sunday, June, 5.
It was the first time in a long time that the nation came together, following the impact of Covid.
Crowds filled Victoria Square for fun day at the Decades of Music Concert.
The Beatles For Sale tribute band were one of the acts showcasing their talent late into the night.
Locals embraced the occasion with many wearing Union Jack outfits and getting into the spirit of the event.
At Leverhulme Park, Be The Change Youth Project welcomed families for an action-packed day, including games to put smiles on youngsters faces.
One of the most notable parties took place on Purbeck Drive in Lostock where residents put up stalls, with delicious cakes included in the items on offer, and set up an impressive party bus.
Hundreds of residents also celebrated in style at Walmsley Parish Church Community Hall, which included a special visit from the mayor.
It was complete with stalls, face paints, games, refreshments, and live music, all in celebration of the Queen.
