A mental health charity is hosting a creative morning to create 'worry jars.'
'Worry jars' are a technique people can use to alleviate their tensions by decorating jars and placing a worry inside to help them overcome the feeling.
This will be as part of a session led by Mental Health Independent Support Team (MhIst) will welcome people to the Moorland House in Bolton to use sraps of fabric including material from sari’s to make their decorations.
A spokesperson for MhIst said: “By joining one or even several of our self help groups you can gain; support from people who have similar experiences, the reassurance that you are not alone.
“When you come to MhIST our friendly and knowledgeable volunteer staff will make you feel comfortable and welcome, treat you with respect, listen to you without judging you and give you the opportunity to speak your mind.”
MhIst provides services like counselling, mindfulness meditation, dramatherapy, and craft and social groups which enable people to cope with anxiety and emotional distress.

With services such as talk therapy and self-help groups, activities run by the centre is usually free to attend.
One of the groups, Art for Wellbeing runs every Wednesday and is a relaxing and enjoyable activity with therapeutic benefits.
