A former pupil at Turton School is keeping her options open after achieving five grade 9 (A*) GCSE’s.
Amani Gajra also achieved three grade 8’s (A) in PE, history, and chemistry, as well as three grade 7’s (A) physics, Spanish, and further maths.
Amani is torn between a career in dentistry, due to her enjoyment of cosmetics and helping people, and a career in the finance world due to her love of maths.
Amani’s mum Rumana Gajra said: “We're all so proud of Amani's results having watched her work so hard over the last couple of years.
“Sacrificing close family weddings and weekends out with friends to achieve her best possible grades.
“We’d like to give a huge thanks to all the teachers at Turton School for all of their support including extra-curricular activities and after school lessons.
“Amani can now see with hard work anything is possible”
She hopes to gain as much experience in both fields so she can make the best choice and continue progressing during her A-Levels.
