Bolton is due plenty of sunshine throughout the August Bank Holiday weekend as other areas prepare for a heatwave.
In the first half of the week the borough is expected to be subjected to some intermittent rainfall and persistent cloud cover, with high temperatures reaching 22C.
However, the Met Office is predicting that Bolton will see highs of 19C and 20C, with very little chance of rain over the upcoming weekend.
The Bank Holiday signals the end of British summer time, as temperatures will likely begin to cool throughout September.
Other areas of the country, however, could be set for another heatwave, with temperature forecasted to be in the high 20s or even above 30C.
We are moving into the final part of August and thus meteorological summer, but what does that mean for the #WeatherForTheWeekAhead❓

British Weather Services senior meteorologist Jim Dale said: “As it looks from the models now, around the bank holiday temperatures could be in the high 20s and the extreme would be 30C degrees.
“The southern areas might see 25C, 26C, 27C degrees and the odd 28C 29C, with the extreme getting to 30C degrees.”
