Police wish to speak with two men they believe might have witnessed an assault on a woman in Bolton in the early hours of the morning.
The woman, who has been described as having been wearing a "black and white spotty top" was assaulted by a man, police say, in the Thynne Street/Nelson Street area.
Police believe that two men, who they say were trying to help the woman, may have information to help them with their investigation.
A Greater Manchester Police Bolton South spokesperson said: "Yesterday (August 7) at approximately 3.50am a woman wearing a black and white spotty top was assaulted by a man in the Thynne Street/Nelson Street area of Bolton.
"We wish to speak with two men who potentially witnessed the incident and were trying to help the woman but left before police arrived.
"Call us on 101 with any information quoting log 585-07082022."
