MAGISTRATES have banned a van driver from the roads for 12 months after he was caught drink driving.

Luke Kirkpatrick, aged 41, of Winifred Road, Farnworth, initially denied committing the offence when driving a Ford Transit van on Buckley Lane, Farnworth, on December 3 last year, but then change his plea to guilty.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court he also admitted having no insurance and obstructing a police officer.

As well as the driving ban, Kirkpatrick was fined £381 and ordered to pay £284 in costs and charges.
