Users of the mobile phone network Three have reported issues and outages in their service.
Reports began to appear on Down Detector, a site for reporting outages, around 8am. These issues are cited 40% to mobile internet, 32% to a total blackout and 28% to no signal.
Smarty also affected by outages
This outage has also affected Smarty, a mobile telephone brand running as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) using the Three network.
A service checker on the Three website allows you to search your area via post code to check service status.
Several postcodes in England and Scotland brought up the following alert:
“We’re fixing an issue with our network in this area
“We’re sorry for any disruption you experience. Our engineers are working on masts nearby, which means the rest of our network is handling more traffic than usual.
“Updates on our work will be posted here. We’re working as fast as we can to build a better, stronger network in your area.”
Three has not posted any other update or confirmation of outages, however, some users have posted their issues on Twitter.
You can find the Three service checker here to search your area for updates.
