Dozens of police officers have been deployed to Bradshawgate in Bolton town centre to attend an apparent incident.
Footage taken at the scene and shared with The Bolton News shows at least eight Greater Manchester Police (GMP) vehicles lining the major route this evening (Tuesday, July 26) at just before 11pm.
The video - which can be viewed below - shows that while there are officers at the scene, the road has not been closed as a bus was able to drive along Bradshawgate unimpeded.
At present, the cause of the heavy police presence is unknown, but GMP has been asked to provide more information about the ongoing incident.
One witness who contacted The Bolton News described the situation as "hectic" and said that officers were "running around everywhere".
He also alleged police had told members of the public "it's nothing to worry about".
