LEIGH need to conjure up three points on Saturday if they are get themselves back in the pack as the relegation dogfight hots up.
The Railwaymen have improved their performances over the course of the last month but manager Steve Bleasdale admits his side need to deliver victories.
He said: "We have a blank weekend after this which I will be using to help team bonding, and the best start would be three points. A win would close the gap and it is vital as I see it as five teams battling to avoid the three relegation places.
"Gainsborough are a big strong side, full of energy and not easy to beat, but we will be well prepared. My main concern is a lack of goals, but I have not been able to perusade any of my targets to join the club.
"We need a big strong striker and until I get one I can't really rectify the situation."
