I am interested in the 100th memorial of the Pretoria Pit Disaster.
My grandfather was killed in this disaster, and I am planning on being there if my health lets me.
Also I would like to hear from anyone related to me.
My father's father Abel Mangnall was killed in this disaster in December 1910. His family lived in the westhoughton area going way back to 1700, and either worked in the mines or the mills.
My grandmother Ellen Mangnall (nee Bromilow) remarried John Harrison and my father took his surname when they came to the USA.
I recall a Nellie Davis, also Harold and Edith Aspinall, Harold died in California while visiting in the 70s.
My father also had a cousin Connie who could have been Harold's sister, and a cousin Annie married to a fellow named Bill.
My Dad also had an uncle named Billie Bond who came to Illinois to live. My father and Billie Bond settled in Kincaid Il USA. A bel's father was Adam Mangnall."
