The chairman of the Bolton branch of the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain is looking to gather as many people as possible to attend memorial events this weekend.
Yaroslaw Tymchyshyn is hoping to gather as many people as possible from across the borough to come together over the weekend to commemorate and remember the Ukrainians who have died during the war.
This Saturday and Sunday is the 149th and 150th day since the start of the Ukrainian invasion - and Yaroslaw wants to gather as many people as possible.
On Saturday, Yaroslaw, wants to gather as many people outside the town hall between 12pm and 1pm to commemorate the women and children who have been killed as well as the fallen soldiers.
On Sunday from 9.15am, there will also be a memorial service at St Patricks Roman Catholic Church on Great Moor Street.
All are invited to attend.
Yaroslaw said: "The Ukrainian nation and people have suffered no end of atrocities at the hands of Putin's thugs.
"Raping of women and children, shooting people in the back of their heads with their hands tied behind their backs.
"Yet the fight goes on.
"Ukrainians will never give up the struggle for freedom.
"This weekend, we will remember all those victims and the heroes who have given their lives for the glory of Ukraine."
