A road in Kearlsey will be closed for approximately 13 months for repair works.
Hulme Road, Stoneclough, will be closed from Monday, August 1 until October 2023 for sewer works.
The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Hulme Road from Kearsley Hall Road to Fernside to allow sewer works to take place.
Diversions will be in place to allow residents to travel around the area with ease.
To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.
Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
