An insurance broker stepped back in time to celebrate its 60th anniversary.
Stanmore Insurance Brokers marked the milestone by holding an afternoon of 1960's fun and games at their offices in Little Lever.
Staff and visitors were joined by Bolton FM for a day filled with fund raising money for local charities.
On the day the team dressed in 60s outfits raised money for local charities, Bolton Lads and Girls Club, Bolton Children’s Opportunity Group, Early Break, Harmony Youth Project, Lagans Foundation and Speed of Sight.
Jackie Hyde, managing director said: "We can’t thank our team and the people who came out on the day enough. "e are delighted to have raised some much needed funds for all these amazing charities.
"I couldn’t be prouder of Stanmore at sixty."
Helping customers for six decades, he firm opened on the June 29 1962.
Originally called Life and Home Services Limited, the business was formed by John Gorton to provide insurance services to the people and businesses of Radcliffe and the surrounding areas.
The first office was on Blackburn Street in Radcliffe.
Seventeen years later the business changed its name to Stanmore Insurance Brokers and moved to Blackburn Road.
In the eighties, the company moved to Tottington with director David Beesley becoming a 100 per cent owner of the brokerage.
Jackie started her career at Stanmore as an insurance account handler before becoming a director and purchasing shares in the early 2000s and is now sole owner.
To add to Stanmore’s commercial clients, the launch of dot2dot nursery insurance took place in 2003.
This specialist insurance product for children’s nurseries now insures over 2,500 nurseries all over the UK paying premium in the region of £5 million.
Under Jackie’s leadership, the business has grown from strength to strength acquiring a few local brokerages and now employs 25 members of staff.
Jackie said: “It’s a privilege to be managing director of such an amazing firm, I can hand on heart say we have such wonderful customers, super suppliers and key partners with truly dedicated colleagues.
"I couldn’t wish for a better place to work."
