A van has been recovered today after the driver reportedly lost control and hit a concrete fence.
According to police officers on patrol in the south Bolton area, the crash was 'damage only' and the driver was found to be uninjured.
Images supplied from the scene show that the Volkswagen van itself and the fence were both badly damaged by the collision.
The van was badly damaged along with the fence
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Patrol attended a damage only road traffic collision this morning.
“The driver lost control of his VW Van and ended up driving into a concrete fence.
“The driver was uninjured, and the vehicle was now recovered.”
The van has now been recovered
No injuries of any pedestrians or damage to any other properties or vehicles has been reported in connection with the incident.
This comes amid recurring concerns about unsafe driving as well as crime and cases of anti-social behaviour on the roads across Greater Manchester.
Police were called to the scene
As well as thefts and crashes, this has included dangerous driving, drink and drug driving and speeding.
Police have urged anyone concerned about crime on the roads to get in touch by calling 101 or 999 in the event of an emergency.
Alternatively, witnesses can call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
