A PAEDOPHILE is to be sentenced after he was caught downloading indecent images of children.
At Bolton Magistrates’ Court Raymond Jarrett, aged 47, of Gloucester Court, Bolton, admitted making hundreds of pictures of children, aged between two and 16.
Shahid Khan, prosecuting, told the court that, between November 8, 2020 and January 2, 2021 Jarrett downloaded 313 of the most serious category A images, 276 in category B and 240 in category C.
At the time he was subject to a sexual harm prevention order which banned him from having internet enabled devices without permission. But police searched his home and found he had two mobile phones and a tablet on which a Mule on Android application was installed.
Jarrett pleaded guilty to breaches of the sexual harm prevention order, which was imposed following a conviction in December 2019, as well as downloading the indecent images.
Magistrates sent Jarrett to Bolton Crown Court to be sentenced on August 3.
