A woman who had been wanted after her Home Office licence was revoked has now been taken back to prison.
Police in Scholes had been patrolling the Sullivan Way area on Friday when they found the woman.
They also say that they found Class A drugs, for which she will later be tested.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Whilst on patrol earlier around the Sullivan Way area, we have located a female who was wanted following the revocation of her Home Office licence.
“She has now been returned back to prison.
“We have also taken possession of a quantity of suspected class A drugs from her which will be tested in due course, and a decision made on the outcome.”
No other arrests have been reported in connection with the incident and officers have not released further details about the woman’s Home Office licence as yet.
Officers have urged anyone who was witnessed any suspicious behaviour of this nature or who is concerned about drugs or crime in their communities to get in touch.
Members of the public can call police on 101 or 999 in the event of an emergency.
Alternatively, they can contact independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
