A discount supermarket is to open in a new development in Deane, it has been announced.
Heron Foods is the second big name to move into the new food and drinks complex in Wigan Road.
The complex is being developed in the old car park of the Stags Head.
The site had been planned to host multiple food and drinks outlets.
Last month, The Bolton News revealed that plans had been put forward to open bakery, Greenhalgh’s.
Heron Foods, who are owned by variety store chain B&M, are set to bring news jobs in the area.
In a statement, the store stated: "Heron Foods are opening a new store on Wigan Road, Bolton, and we are looking to recruit for various permanent positions.
"Come and join the Heron Family and be one of our famously friendly faces."
The permanent positions being recruited include part time sales assistants, senior part time sales assistants, duty managers and a store cleaner.
The opening comes as the town centre store was closed down earlier this year.
The store closed on January 15 this year, with the nearest store available being the one on Tonge Moor Road.

One local resident was very happy with the development and said:“It looks like they’re doing a great job with the new shops on the Stags Head car park.
“Stone features, brick walls, grey slated roof and even a dummy chimney, to keep in line with the conservation area.”

The news of the new store comes almost exactly three years after the opening of the Tonge Moor store.
The branch on Tonge Moor Road was also built on an old pub site – the former Starkie Arms pub, which had been demolished in late 2018.
Heron Foods was founded in Melton, East Yorkshire in 1979 and has grown to having around 300 stores in the country, dubbing itself ‘one of the UK’s fastest growing food retailers’.
