The picture of a man who told his former partner he was going to kill her and nobody would hear because he had shut all the windows has been released.
At Bolton Crown Court last week, Dylan Jones was jailed for a period of 18 months.
The man from May Close, Liverpool, admitted actual bodily harm and breaching a suspended sentence by reoffending.
The 22-year-old was jailed for 18 months as a result.
His former partner had invited him into her home in Bolton after he had taken an overdose.
But Jones picked her up from a night out, accused her of being with other men and began to attack her.
During the incident he knelt on her chest, said he would kill her and nobody would hear, span a knife around and repeated threats.
The incident in September last year came to an end when he allowed the woman outside to let the dog out, she called for help and a neighbour got the woman’s mother to the scene which prompted Jones to flee.
