IF you want to rub shoulders with or see your favourite celebrity chefs creating culinary delights then book your tickets for this year’s Bolton Food and Drink Festival.
The chefs will be doing demos as one of the highlights of the festival in Bolton, which takes place between August 26-29.
They have a celebrity for everyone with The Hairy Bikers, Ainsley Harriott and James Martin ready to entertain you in the kitchen.
The chefs will host three cookery demonstrations each day. Saturday will see Hairy biker Si King roar into town with Jenny Powell, Sunday is when you can catch the infectious enthusiasm of Ainsley Harriott and Bank Holiday Monday is the turn of the ever-popular James Martin.
Also coming on sale soon are a series of special events. Join us for a dance on Saturday evening with the fantastic The King Cush Band featuring none other than Hairy Hiker Si King who will, along with his band, be playing tight grooves and soulful tunes.
Become part of the action on Sunday evening as Basil, Sybil and Manuel serve up mayhem on a plate alongside a three-course meal and two hours of non-stop laughter with The Fawlty Towers Dining Experience.
For something a little bit different why not enjoy a fantastic Afternoon tea with a twist? On Saturday join actress Lisa Riley to enjoy an array of mouth-watering, Indian inspired treats created by award winning, local chef Sushma Solanki.
Alternatively on Sunday you can enjoy a traditional afternoon tea brought to you by the team behind RHS Worsley.
All ticketed events will be located in our new home, the wonderful Albert Halls complex.
Bolton Council deputy leader, Cllr Hilary Fairclough, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome back such an incredible line-up of world class chefs to this year’s Bolton Food and Drink Festival. The live cookery demonstrations are such a big part of the festival, and I am sure demand will be higher than ever this year.
“Tickets make an ideal gift for friends and family, or just treat yourself by booking a seat to see these famous names live and in person.”
Soak up the fantastic festival atmosphere for free. It’s packed to the brim with food, drink and arts and craft stalls, regional chef demos and children’s activities.
