A Leigh woman went on a 'rampage' in which she damaged property belonging to her former partner and struck his new girlfriend with a weapon.
Natasha Marriott had been in a relationship with the man for around three months.
But Bolton Crown Court heard she struck in February this year against him and his new partner.
She turned up at her address on Tinsley Green in Leigh while he was there and smashed windows on his van off.
CCTV the woman owned showed Marriott was the culprit.
The 34-year-old drove off but her former partner later found windows of his home had been smashed.
The same day Marriott was spotted by the woman who asked her what she was doing as she had been seen damaging the van.
The woman asked if she was the girlfriend of her former partner and she said she was.
Marriott struck her left shoulder with a wheel brace.
She also damaged her vehicle.
Following this police were called.
Duncan Wilcock, prosecuting, revealed the damage on the couple from Marriott’s actions.
He read from victim impact statements from both of them.
The one from the man said he was “furious” about what had happened and the damage to his van had taken a toll as he is self employed and needed it for work.
The one from the woman said she had been left with a scar, she had been forced to go to BUPA for trauma therapy and she had PTSD.
Marriott, from Diamond Street, Leigh appeared in court to be sentenced after admitting three counts of criminal damage, one of actual bodily harm and another of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Paul Treble, defending, said she had lost her job as a result and as previously of good character.
He also said she was the primary carer for her three teenage children and asked for a suspended sentence to be imposed.
Recorder Jeremy Lasker said: “You went on a bit of a rampage.”
But he said he could suspend a prison sentence due to three factors including her “good character, which has stood you in good stead today, that fact that you are the carer for three children and the fact that you have plead guilty and shown remorse.”
He suspended a sentence of six months for 18 months and ordered her to do 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days and also 80 hours of unpaid work.
