The Amazon fulfilment centre in Bolton has made a £1,000 donation to a domestic violence and abuse charity in the town.

The donation was made to Fortalice, a charity that provides frontline services including a refuge with 22 flats, training and group work for victims who are, or have been, affected by domestic abuse and violence.

This is the latest donation to the charity from the Amazon team in Bolton, following donations of £1,000 in 2021 and 2020.

This donation will fund their Children and Young people's team, last year they supported over 300 children within the community.

John Strydom, General Manager at Amazon in Bolton, said: “We’ve been keen supporters of Fortalice for the last two years and we’re pleased to make a donation to the charity again this year. The services offered by the team at Fortalice make a positive impact on many lives and it’s great to support the charity once again.”

Gill Smallwood, Chief Executive at Fortalice, added: “Since opening our doors in 1977, we have provided support, education and advice to thousands of people.

“Our staff have a wealth of specialist skills, expertise, and knowledge and receiving support like this from the Amazon team helps our team continue to offer its services locally. “
