A Bolton shopping centre will be holding Jubilee events during the Jubilee week.
Market Place in the town centre will be celebrating the event with family activities throughout the week.
Today (Tuesday, 31 May), there will be crown and flag craft sessions and on the Saturday, June 4, there will be a day of activities including a procession, crafts and performances by Bollywood dancers and musicians.
On the Saturday, the public are invited to assemble in the Patio area at the side of Market Place before 12pm and join the Hindu Forum parade with a pipe band and giant Royal Statues leading to Victoria Square.
A spokesperson for the event said: “Not many shopping centres in the UK can celebrate the Platinum Jubilee in a location where the Jubilees of Queen Victoria were held.
“However with its fantastic 160 year heritage, Market Place is celebrating this unique event in style with family activities and, of course, flying a large number of flags.”
Manager of Market Place, Rachel Townsend, said: “Everyone enjoys an extra Bank Holiday, though the Queen will be working as hard as she has for the last 70 years!
“We have crown and flag craft sessions and on the Saturday of the holiday we are thrilled to be working in conjunction with the Bolton Hindu Forum, with a day of activities including a procession, crafts and performances by Bollywood dancers, drummers and a flute player.”
She added: “We are also setting up a Royal selfie station on Thursday 2nd June with a splendid throne and cut outs of the Queen and corgi so people can record their own light hearted tributes to Her Majesty."
