A MAN in his 70s has died following a crash with a motorcyclist.
Emergency services arrived on Haigh Road, Aspull at around 9.30pm on Wednesday (18 May 2022).
The man was a pedestrian and died at the scene.
The motorcyclist remained at the scene and cooperated with officers during enquires.
Police are appealing for any information from any witnesses who may have CCTV or dash cam footage.
A GMP spokesperson said: “At around 9.30pm on Wednesday (18 May 2022), emergency services were called to a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian on Haigh Road, Aspull.
“Sadly, the pedestrian, a man in his 70s, died at the scene.
“The motorcyclist stayed at the scene to assist officers with their enquiries.”
Police Constable Lee Gandy, of GMPs Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “A man has tragically lost his life in this incident and our thoughts are very much with his family at this difficult time.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or anyone who has dash cam or CCTV footage to please get in touch with police on 0161 856 6741 quoting log number 3343 of the 18th May 2022”.
