A new comedy theatre production starts tonight at Tyldesley Little Theatre.
How the Other Half Loves, written by Alan Ayckbourn and directed by Hannah Boardman, will take to the stage tonight starting at 7:30pm and shows will continue until May 21.
How the Other Half Loves was first performed at Tyldesley Little Theatre in 1990 and follows three married couples whose lives are hopelessly entwined.
Frank employs Bob and William and is considering William for a promotion.
Bob is having an affair with Frank's wife and argues constantly with his own wife Teresa.
Frank and Fiona's marriage by contrast is polite and distant.
Mary thinks, incorrectly, that William, her husband, is having an affair.
The plot thickens when each of the adulterous parties, plays host to William and Mary at dinner parties on successive nights, both of which dinners end in disaster.
As relations between partners deteriorate, matters become more confused and only the truth can restore order to chaos.
Hannah Boardman, also director to the successful productions of 'Kindly Leave the Stage'and 'Aladdin', will hopefully make audiences laugh this week.
A Tyldesley Little Theatre spokesperson said: "We are really excited about getting our next play on stage, especially after the great feedback from our Panto and previous production 'Prepare to Meet Thy Tomb'.
"Everyone involved has worked so very hard to prepare it and we are looking forward to meeting our Patrons once more and hope that they will enjoy 'How the Other Half Loves'.
"TLT is currently in the process of planning their 2022/23 playbill which when ready, we will release details on the TLT website (www.tlt.org.uk), our Social Media platforms and, of course, through the Bolton News."
All perfomances begin at 7.30pm and all seats are priced at £7 each.
