A Bolton youth group have been nominated for the National Diversity Awards sponsored by ITV.
Be The Change, based in Bolton, are being recognised for their work in helping shape the futures of young people in the borough through various opportunities that sees them take initiative.
Voting is open until the end of the week for the Community Organisation Award for Age.
Daniel Sukula, leader of the group said: “We are so grateful and excited to be nominated for the National Diversity Awards.
“The organisation has been making a big impact in Bolton over the years creating many opportunities and changing the lives of many young people.”
During lockdown, the team - which is entirely volunteer led, have dedicated hours to help the youth through support.
The youth group have seen a big increase in numbers of young people joining and now have two centres in Bolton to meet the high demand.
Daniel added: “We are providing more activities including our new launched programme called Be-Educated which has been helping young people revise for SATs and GCSE exams.
“To be nominated for the Awards is a great recognition for all the time and dedication our team of volunteers are putting day in, day out to help young people in Bolton reach their full potential.”
