A 16-year-old girl has been left with life changing back injuries after a head-on collision with another car in Edgworth last night Edgworth fire confirmed.
The accident happened on Broadhead Road near to Plantation Road and was closed for a period of time.
At least two fire engines, three ambulances and an air ambulance were on the scene.
A Lancashire police spokesman said: "We were called to Broadhead Road, Turton, at 9.41pm yesterday (May 13) following reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars.
"Six people were taken to hospital, including one teenage girl who suffered a serious injury to her back. She remains in hospital at this time.
"Nobody has been arrested, a road closure was put in place but that has now been stood down."
