Bolton Lads & Girls Club’s Yellow and Blue day to raise money for Ukraine saw the whole town get involved.
The Yellow and Blue Day on April 29 was held to allow businesses to take part in the annual fundraiser for both the young people of Bolton and for Ukraine.
A spokesman for the club said: “As you know, our annual Yellow & Blue Day takes place in April and is crucial in raising funds to ensure our Club continues to be there for Boltons children and young people.
“As we share our colours with Ukraine, we feel it would be remiss of us to not acknowledge the tragedy unfolding in Europe.
“Therefore, in support for the children, young people, and families whose livelihoods have been affected, the funds raised from our annual Yellow and Blue Day will be split, with half of the monies raised going directly to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.”
Businesses and schools in Bolton have already been taking part with Westhoughton High School’s £1 yellow and blue clothes day, and Ladderstore taking part in a silent auction raising £400 in vital funds.
John Roberts at AO also tweeted about the special day and urged others to get involved and help raise money as well has Hardscape England, who suppy paving materials throughout the UK.
