Bolton Market is fast becoming the go to place to eat and shop as yet another eaterie opens in the popular attraction.
A new chippy has recently opened, which prides itself on using local produce.
Chip N’ Go boasts a range of made-in-house toppings and accompaniments to the chips, as well as alternatives for those who aren’t fans of the potato-based dish.
Some of the accompaniments include chilli con carne, meatballs, gravy, Irish and Chinese variations of curry sauce, beans, peas and chicken. Noodles are also available as an alternative.
Chip N’ Go owner Sebastian Coman, 33, of Breightmet, told The Bolton News how he has always wanted his own business.
He said: “I’ve always wanted to become my own boss, you don’t have to ask permission from anyone else to make decisions.
“I had the idea for this shop three years ago, but then the pandemic hit.”
Sebastian, who runs the shop on his own, is particularly proud of the food on offer. He said: “I take care to make sure there are no frozen products being used.
“The potatoes come from a farm just outside of Bolton, and they can bring me fresh potatoes when needed.
“I’ve started with a small menu at the moment but will increase it. Everything is made to order but nothing takes longer than five minutes to make.”
Sebastian, who was previously the operations manager for five-star Hotel Gotham in Manchester, is hoping to put his customer service expertise to use.
He said: “I have 15 years’ experience in the hotel industry, so will be using my customer service experience to tend to customers’ needs.”
He has a long ranging vision for the shop, saying: “My vision is to make the shop successful, and then to open a new shop, working up to having our own potato factory to serve the Chip N’ Go franchise.”
