A “high risk” appeal has gone out to find a woman who went missing yesterday evening, with concerns growing for her safety.
Claire Axon, 39 from Tyldesley, was last seen just before 9pm on Wednesday evening when concerns were raised for her welfare.
She has not been seen since and police have now issued a high-risk missing person appeal to try and encourage people to come forward to with information to help them find her.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Have you seen Claire Axon who is from Tyldesley?
“Claire is a 39-year-old white female who is 5’5” tall.
“She has brown hair and is believed to be wearing a yellow mustard coloured puffa jacket, blue jeans and a black baseball cap.
“Claire was last spoken to just before 9pm on Wednesday where concerns were raised about her welfare.
“Officers are becoming increasing concerned about Claire’s safety and if any of our followers know of Claire’s location or have any information then please contact us via the Live Chat function on our website or via 101 quoting MSP/06LL/0001040/22.”
Officers hope that this will encourage anyone who may have seen Ms Axon or who may have any information that may help them to find her to come forward.
