TONGE Moor Angling Supplies have raised £1,890 for Bolton Armed Forces Centre 4 Veterans after their winter league charity raffle.
Weekly tackle prizes were raffled to raise the money, which included donations by Preston Innovations, MAP, Guru, Sensas, Daiwa, Tricast, Matrix and Nu Fish.
A spokesperson for Tong Moor Angling Supplies said: “This would not be possible without the help of all those involved.
“A big thank you to Bradshaw Hall Fisheries for the superb venue, organisers Matt Forster and Darren Morris, league sponsors Robert Holt Construction, Combicare Maintenance and everyone who helped raise the money by purchasing raffle tickets.”
Chairman of the Veterans Centre, Scott Hawtrey, added: “As a local veterans charity we are proud to have local businesses like Tong Moor Angling Supplies supporting the centre in its mission to help military veterans, who otherwise could have slipped through the gaps when they are at their most vulnerable.”
