Officers were surprised on Easter morning to see 16 ducklings on the M6 near Wigan.
All the ducks were moved to safety by the officers and taken to a wildlife sanctuary.
It is not clear how the ducks managed to get onto the M6 but drivers were surprised to see them.
A statement from the officers said: “A happy story this morning. Our Traffic Officers have rescued 16 ducklings who were waddling around the #M6 near #Wigan. #
“They have been safely taken to a wildlife sanctuary where they can eggsplain how they ended up on the M6. Have a lovely Sunday all.”
This is the perfect time to see the ducks on Easter.
