A Bolton woman has been penalised for using a mobile while behind the wheel of a car.
Sarah Spillane used her device while driving in Cornwall last August.
Bodmin Magistrates Court determined she had carried out the offence when the case called recently.
The offence took place when Spillane, from Longsight, Bolton, was driving a Mini in St Austell, Cornwall last summer.
The 42-year-old did not attend at court.
Following the outcome she was hit with a fine of £220.
As well as this she was given six points on her licence.
Spillane was instructed to pay the fine in its entirety within a month of when the case called at court.
