Bolton’s Market Place shopping centre is appealing for would-be small traders to come forward and start up new independent businesses.
People with ideas for start-up businesses can set themselves up on pop-up spaces and join special areas for stalls interested in short term trading.
This way, the town centre shopping mall hopes to encourage more independent businesses to flourish in the town.
A statement from the Market Place said: “We love independents.
"If you have an idea or a start-up business and would like pop up space on the mall or to be part of our events over the coming months, or maybe you would like to join the Emporium for short term trading contact us at lkcommercialisation@marketplacebolton.co.uk for more information.
“It could be the best email you send all day.”
Examples of independent businesses at the shopping centre have included food stalls, bakery stands, smaller news-stands and clothing stalls.
The can be found on the shopping floor amid more established chain outlets.
This comes as the Market Place and other venues aim to encourage more business in the shopping centre itself and in Bolton town centre more generally in a bid to revive the town’s economy following the end of lockdown.
