Stargazers have the chance to see the Aurora Borealis across the UK tonight and tomorrow.
As the Northern Lights will be visible to the naked eye in northern parts of the UK this week.
The news comes after scientists detected solar flares appeasing in parts of the skies in Northern UK.
The possible sightings come just months after an avid photographer in Astley Bridge managed to capture the iconic Northern Lights last night in Bolton.
Ian Bolton managed to take the stunning photograph on his digital camera after being notified by an app at 11pm.
Experts are predicting that a solar storm will follow the solar flare with a "mass ejection" that is likely to create spectacular lights towards the south.
According to the British Geological Survey the best chance to see the Northern Lights is on March 31 and April 1.

Best places to see the Aurora Borealis:
If you fancy your chance of seeing the impressive Northern Lights then you're best to travel to a high, quiet space away from light pollution.
In terms of where you'll be able to see it in the UK then you're best chance is in Scotland, Northern England, and Northern Ireland.
For Scotland the best spots will be Dumfries and Galloway as they are expected to have clear skies tonight.
Whereas in England it's not as promising due to the cloudy conditions but you may have a chance in Leeds, Middlesbrough, Newcaste and much of Northumberland.
