A young man was stabbed in the early hours of the morning.
Police were called to Calvert Road, Great Lever, earlier today (March 26) to reports that a man in his 20s had been stabbed.
It is not believed the man’s injuries are serious and police have been on the scene all day.
A spokesperson for the police said: "At 4.59am yesterday morning (26 March), police were called with a report of a stabbing on Danby Road, Bolton.
"Officers attended and located a man in his 20s with a stab wound to his leg. He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.
"Enquiries are ongoing. No arrests have been made."
Police were preventing people from going down a nearby alleyway.
According to neighbours police were on the scene at around 5am.
The scene was initially taped off but that was removed later on today.
Residents say that police were conducting house-to-house enquiries as part of the investigation.
A witness who wished to remain anonymous said: “Incident at house top-end Calvert Road at 5am this morning.
“Police doing house to house enquiries first thing. Two houses taped out at the rear and a police officer standing guard at the front door.”
