A luxury supercar was today pulled over by police at the scene of a crash for not having a registration plate.
The Lamborghini Huracan was stopped on Lever Street by police officers who were already on the scene of a crash at the junction with Fletcher Street which had involved a Kia.
Police say the driver of the Kia had left the scene and it was while waiting for the car to be recovered, that officers came across and stopped the Lambourghini with a missing registration plate.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “This Lamborghini Huracan has just been stopped by XT14 on Lever Street Bolton whilst awaiting recovery of the Kia.
“Traffic Offence Report issued for the lack of registration plate!”
Officers say the Kia driver was later located and has been reported for road traffic offences.
The Kia has been seized.
Police also recovered a Kia from the scene
A police spokesperson said: “Following a road traffic collision on Lever Street at the junction of Fletcher Street Bolton, the driver of the Kia left the scene.
“Appears his reluctance to speak to XT14 was to do with his lack of a full driving licence.
“He has been located and reported for due care and other road traffic offences.
“Car seized.”
Anyone concerned about anti-social driving in their areas can call police on 101.
