A famous scrapyard has hit 1.2 million views on Facebook dancing to Grease as they prepare to make a TV comeback looking at their life in the scrapyard.
Filming is underway for the next series of The Scrappers, a fly-on-the-wall documentary which follows scrapyards owners Terry Walker and his wife Lyndsay
Two members of staff at The Scrappers in Waterloo Road, Bolton, amused viewers on Facebook and Tiktok with their own dance to You're The One That I Want from Grease The Musical.
Steven Cox and Beverly Colbourn at the scrapyard filmed it together.
The Scrappers are used to being in the limelight as they first aired on the BBC show Scrappers where the couple showed what life was like working in a scrapyard.
Previously called Metro Salvage, the team won over the hearts of the nation in 2014 when the first series started with six episodes.
Terry said: "We’re having so much fun filming the new series now, all the lads are participating and having such a good laugh.
“There’s been a four-year gap between this one and the last series, but this one is our own show and is also an educational show for the public.”
There was a second season in 2016 due to its popularity. The new series will have 10 episodes running at an hour each.
Terry said: “It’ll be out in the summer sometime.
“We just do quirky videos so it’s off the back of that, that they see us and like us.
“The show is more in-depth looking at life in work and has some funny moments.”
Before the BBC filmed the documentary series the team regularly posted videos to YouTube and now focus on TikTok, which they only recently started.
Terry said: “We’re very happy to be involved again of course. Last time was fun as well so we’re looking forward to doing it once again and showing the public what we do along with education on it.
“It looks at our family life as well as the business so it’s a little more personal.”
The last series pulled in more than two million viewers when it aired. Terry and Lyndsay have been married for 30 years and live in Radcliffe.
