The Lancashire Wildlife Trust will be staging an Outdoor Nature Adventure Trail for youngsters in Bolton later this month.

The free event will take place on Saturday,  March 26, and will take place on the Kingfisher trail, with the meeting place being the Seven Acres car park.

It is a chance for youngsters between the ages of 11-25 to spend time exploring nature.

A statement by the organisers said: “The Kingfisher Trail is a scenic 14-mile route connecting the rural West Pennine Moors to the urban centres of Bolton, Bury and Salford.

“Brimming with biodiversity, the Kingfisher Trail is a 20-year labour of love that connects people to sites including Seven Acres Local Nature Reserve, Leverhulme Park Local Nature Reserve and Nob End.”

During the day explorers will be taken on a guided walk of the trail and will be encouraged to meet other like-minded people, as well as taking part in range of nature activities.

Anyone interested in attending the event, which runs from 10am-1pm, is advised to register online via Eventbrite or can contact The Lancashire Wildlife Trust for more information.

The wildlife trust may put on a minibus from Bolton train station to take people to the trail.
