Gong

Where: The Old Courts, Gerrard Winstanley House, Wigan
Gong’s current album, The Universe Also Collapses, is the latest shining point on that continuum, a masterpiece of visionary 21st-century psychedelia, a celebration of the magic of science, a journey both internal and external, bridging the worlds of lysergic exploration and quantum physics with Terence McKenna and Stephen Hawking.
Saturday, March 12
Bolton Symphony Orchestra - Thank you for the Music
When: 7.30pm
Where: The Victoria Hall, 37 Knowsley Street, BL1 2AS
Bolton Symphony Orchestra will be continuing their 2022 concert season with a concert entitled ‘Thank you for the Music’.
The concert is subtitled ‘A Viennese Spring Celebration’, and has been planned in memory of Dr Robert Aston, who sadly died in 2020.
Massaoke
When: 9.30pm
Where: Escape to Freight Island, Baring Street, Manchester
A brilliant live band plays hairbrush anthems from the 90s – accompanied by giant video lyrics – and everyone sings together.
Massaoke has toured the world from New York to Adelaide and all across Europe, and played to huge crowds at festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude and Edinburgh Fringe.
Sunday, March 13
The People Versus Live at Helmshore Mill and Textile Museum
When: 1pm
Where: Helmshore Mills Textile Museum, Holcombe Road, Helmshore
The People Versus have been quickly recognised as one of the most exciting talents coming out of the Folk Music scene in Oxford, bringing their harmonies, driving rhythms and storytelling tradition to the forefront of their sound.
Calling their sound 'Museum-Pop' it borrows from a variety of genres and traditions; Their combined voices and instrumental lines swoop, circle, and support the beguiling voice and personality of the lead singer Alice.
