A MAN has pleaded not guilty to the murder of 25-year-old Tyrone Williamson in Bolton.
Anthony Derek George, 41, of no fixed abode, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Mr Williamson in Battenburg Road, off Chorley Old Road, on December 11. Judge Anthony Cross QC remanded George in custody, during a brief hearing at Manchester Crown Court, for a trial to take place from May 23.
Four men will also go on trial later in June accused of carrying out a serious attack on George, also on December 11, in Lincoln Road.
Roy Meanly, 28 from Farnworth, Nathan Carney-Williamson, 29 of Battenburg Road, Jason Wilding, 27 of Whalley Range and Adam Disa Green, 21 of no fixed abode, have all pleaded not guilty to attempted murder.
