NEW research reveals that Bolton is in the top 10 locations with the highest percentages of outstanding schools in England, according to the latest Ofsted reports.
A quarter of schools in the area were rated “outstanding” following Ofsted inspections in 2021.
Research by education firm Promethean showed 70 per cent of the highest rated schools in England were in the North of England, with schools in the North West rated as “outstanding”.
Bolton was 10th for its number of outstanding schools.

According to Watchsted,Bolton has 83.6 per cent of primary schools which are good or better, 23.8 per cent are outstanding and 59.9 per cent are rated Ofsted good.

According to Watchsted, Bolton has 67.2 per cent of secondary schools rated good or outstanding.
20 per cent achieved the top rating and 47.2 per cent were rated good.
