Coronation Street star, Helen Flanagan, has given fans a glimpse inside her home as she updates her Instagram account, The Sinclair Home.

While she created the account back in August 2021, the former Westholme School pupil only posted picture updates earlier this week.

She lives with her fiancé, Scott Sinclair, and their three children, Matilda, Delilah and Charlie.

Scott surprised her with the new "dream home" back in December.

So far, she has posted snaps of her children’s “magical” playroom, as well as some sneak peeks of her living room furniture.

The children’s playroom is a dream for Harry Potter lovers and is filled with artwork and decorations from the JK Rowling book and film franchise.

In the short video, Helen pans around the room to show off Harry Potter wall art including banners, a wall sign which reads ‘I solemnly swear I am up to no good’, and a ‘window’ which shows a snapshot of the iconic Hogwarts express.

A focal point of the playroom is the ceiling which appears as a night sky and is covered with wax-sealed envelopes.

Speaking about the Harry Potter theme, Helen said: “I wanted something fun for the children. The rest of the house can be sophisticated, Harry Potter works for all the children - it doesn’t date and I don’t mind sitting in it.”

Helen supported a lot of small North West businesses while designing the room, including Liverpool-based Nikola's Murals, which supplied the art work.

Helen said: “So before we moved into our house, Scott and I had always rented.

“Before I always had their toys in the living room so was lovely to have a play room. I worked with a company called The Clutter Fairies @declutterhub (north west based) to organise and declutter my home.

“It was great to declutter properly and get a lot to charity. We labelled the boxes so it was easy for me to tidy away and keep organised.

“A children’s play room is always going to be a bit chaotic and never perfectly organised but I think this gives some order.”

In a snap, Helen showed off a £150 shelving unit from Ikea which she is using to store her children’s toys.

In another picture, Helen also showed off a snap of her living room, which has a grey and cream aesthetic, and her recently upholstered sofa.

She said: “Loving how my living room/ kitchen is starting to look.

“I had my sofa reupholstered and just got it back today (2 March).

“We bought a beautiful black sofa nearly ten years ago that is really big and gorgeous quality but with the various moves and the kids it just got ruined and was faded by the sun.

“Andrew Lees Upholstery reupholstered the sofa a beautiful dove grey.

“It matches my curtains so well.”
