A LOCAL rambling club is inviting people to get out and about and explore the most scenic points in and around Bolton.

Bolton CHA ­— Countrywide Holidays Association ­— has announced its organised walks for the coming days.

Three walks will take place on Saturday, February 26.

A 10 mile walk will start from Aldi in Higher Bridge Street at 9.15am, or from Scorton Picnic site in Forton (PR3 1BY) at 10am. The Nicky Nook walk will take ramblers to Harrison Fell and Wyre Wharf Wood across fields and moorland. Chapel-in-the- Field walk meanders through Barrow Bridge, Doffcocker Lodge and other scenic places. Meeting point is Moss Bank car park at 10.30am for the eight mile walk.

Finally a five mile walk will take place across Wayoh Reservoir and Turton Tower. Walkers are asked to meet at Turton Tower car park for a 10.30am start.

On Wednesday, March 2, an eight mile walk will take place via Brinscall, with the meeting pointing being at Ryal Fold Visitor's Centre in Tockholes.

Another eight mile ramble, this time through Holcombe has been organised, with walkers meeting at Peel Tower car park.

A six mile walk has been organised through the picturesque village of Summerseat, with the meeting point being at Nuttall Park car park.

All walks will start at 10.30am.

Non-members are welcome to turn up and try out a walk before considering joining up.
