Electricity North West are investigating a power cut last night that impact 71 homes in the Harwood area.

The cut was reported at 3.15am this morning with teams expecting to fix the issue by 3pm this afternoon.

An Electricity North West spokesperson said: "This power cut has been caused by an unexpected incident on the high voltage cable that provides electricity to your home or business.

"We didn't know before your electricity went off that this was going to happen but now we know, rest assured we will get your power back on safely and as quickly as possible."

This comes after several homes were left without electricity earlier this month for planned power cuts while engineers carried out routine work to improve the power supply.
