WANDERERS are back at the UniBol on Tuesday night as they take on Johnnie Jackson’s Charlton Athletic (KO 8pm).
Ian Evatt’s men are unbeaten in their last five matches following Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Morecambe thanks to Amadou Bakayoko’s dramatic late equaliser.
Team news
Gethin Jones is set to return to the squad after being rested on Saturday, while Kieran Lee is also available despite coming off at half-time.
Ricardo Santos has been cleared to play after Wanderers successfully overturned his red card from Saturday.
As for the visitors, Corey Blackett-Taylor is set to miss out with a hamstring problem while top-scorer Jayden Stockley remains sidelined as he continues his recovery from a hip injury.
Opposition lowdown
Charlton have won their last three league matches following Saturday’s 3-2 win against Wimbledon at the Valley.
The Addicks are up to 11th in the League One table and are only behind the Whites on goals scored.
The London club appointed Johnnie Jackson as their permanent manager in December following a spell as caretaker boss.
Head-to-head
- Wanderers have faced Charlton 92 times in their history, with a record of 43 wins, 20 draws and 29 defeats
- The Addicks ran out 2-1 winners when the sides last met at the UniBol back in January 2017 despite Zach Clough’s early goal
Last meeting
The Whites recorded an emphatic 4-1 victory when the sides met at the Valley earlier this season.
The hosts took an early lead through Josh Davison but Dapo Afolayan got Bolton back on level terms with a precise finish from the edge of the box
Kieran Lee then scored twice in eight minutes, first with a clinical volley from Gethin Jones’ cross and then a simple finish from close range.
Antoni Sarcevic wrapped up the win in stoppage time, keeping his cool to round Craig MacGillivray and tap into the empty net.
