A BOLTON domestic abuse charity has recently been working in partnership with Granada Reports, to shine a light on the impacts of domestic abuse on real victims and showcasing the work of the charity.

Fortalice has been working with the ITV programme to show the impacts of domestic abuse in a video report called ‘Two Women’s Story of Survival’.

The footage follows the stories of two women who were abused by their partners both emotionally and physically, looking at the hardships these women faced.

Both women managed to get a room at Fortalice, a women’s refuge for victims of domestic abuse and their children, where they are now trying to rebuild their lives.

The footage was aired on Wednesday, with additional clips shown yesterday evening and it will be aired tonight, Friday, at 6pm on the programme.

A spokesman for Fortalice said: “Special thanks to Tasha, Simon and the Granada team for highlighting the impact of domestic abuse and raising awareness.

“The film outlines how difficult a victim’s journey is, encouraging those who may need help to come forward.”
