A man from Bolton and two men from Accrington have been arrested after drugs, cash and a car were all seized.
Police stopped a Volkswagen Jetta on Blackpool Road, Ribbleton, this morning (February 2) at around 5am.
Upon searching the car, officers found a large quantity of what is suspected to be cocaine and around £2,000 in cash.
Three men – a 27-year-old from Bolton and a 19-year-old and 23-year-old from Accrington – were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs. All three remain in police custody.
The cash, suspected drugs and car have all been seized and enquiries are ongoing.
Chief Inspector Patrick Worden, of Lancashire Police, said: “A team of officers was out in the early hours of today when they spotted a vehicle which was being driven suspiciously.
"The vehicle was stopped and a subsequent search turned up a large quantity of what is believed to be class A drugs and cash.
“Three people were arrested and our enquiries are now very much underway.
“Anybody with information about drugs or drug supply in their area is urged to contact us to report their concerns on either 101, or by ringing independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
