WANDERERS midfielder Ronan Darcy has joined Scottish League One side Queen’s Park on loan until the end of the season.
Darcy heads north of the border in search of regular playing time as he continues his development.
He will now play alongside former Bolton academy team-mate Luca Connell, who is on loan from Celtic.
“I’m delighted to have signed for the club,” Darcy told the club’s website.
“Having spoken to a couple of the players and staff members, it’s obvious Queen’s are a club with huge ambition which matches my own and I’m looking forward to getting started.
“I can’t wait to get in, meet the lads and hope I can help drive the push for promotion.”
Darcy has made 35 first-team appearances for the Whites after coming through the club's youth ranks.
The attacking midfielder spent time on loan at Sogndal earlier this season, making eight appearances as the Norwegian club made the play-offs.
He featured in the 2-0 defeat against Wycombe last month – his first appearance for the Whites since December 2020.
Darcy has been allowed to leave on loan following the arrival of several attacking options in the January transfer window.
Queen’s Park sit fourth in the Scottish League One table, having lost just three of their 21 matches so far.
The Spiders are back in league action this Saturday when they head to Falkirk (KO 3pm).
