A NEW council scheme aims to empower residents to make a difference to their neighbourhoods.
Under the system, a Community Alliance in every ward would see volunteers work collaboratively with their local elected members, key institutions and businesses and use their local knowledge to help prioritise issues that matter in their area.
Cllr Mudasir Dean, the borough's stronger communities cabinet member, said: "The pandemic has shown us how much knowledge, skill and community spirit we have right across the borough.
“The council wants to empower our communities to find local solutions to local issues.
“But it’s important everyone has their say on these proposals, and we want residents, community groups and businesses to share their views.
“I urge members of the Bolton family to get involved and have their say.”
“The success of this model will ensure improvements in the lives of each and every Bolton resident of all ages and backgrounds.”
